Our Spotlight Items is:
1930's M1902 American Army Officer's Sword
M.S. Meyer M1902 American Army Officer's Sword, blade made in "GERMANY". The Germany mark is underneath the handle on the tang. This sword has been reviewed by Mike McWatters PO Box 640 Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026. His review is as follows: This is an American M1902 army officers' sword. This was the regulation pattern for all officers except chaplains since 1902, except for some cavalry officers who carried a variation of the M1913 cavalry saber before 1934. Pre WWII made blades were marked Germany, but some may have been used after the war as well. I think Meyer cut off communication with Germany in either 1937 or 1939, so my guess is that it dates from just before the war, since the blade appears to be stainless steel and it has the later style pommel nut, and that the owner probably served in WWII.

I have enlisted L.W. Benton Co., Inc. to liquidate my remaining Inventory of Militaria, Sports Collectibles, & Misc. Items . All items will be sold at auction ending February 13th.
